Minnesota, state of opportunity.
Minnesota has the world’s largest known undeveloped copper-nickel deposits. Not only that, the state has some of the highest regulatory and environmental standards in the world.
At Twin Metals Minnesota, we’re proud to be part of it all. We want the best for Minnesota, and for the region, and for the environment.
Minnesota has the largest known undeveloped copper-nickel deposit in the world.
The unique mineral deposit is here.
Northern Minnesota- including the Duluth Complex where Twin Metals is located – is a critical area for America’s strategic metal supply. The Duluth Complex contains 95% of the nation’s nickel reserves; 34% of the nation’s copper; 88% of the cobalt; 51% of the platinum and 48% of the palladium. The strategic metals to be mined in the Duluth Complex play a crucial role in America’s and Minnesota’s economic security in the future.
The Twin Metals project targets minerals in one area of the Duluth Complex called the Maturi Deposit. We’ve studied this deposit for more than a decade.
