U.S. DISTRICT COURT UPHOLDS REINSTATEMENT OF TWIN METALS LEASES

Thursday May 13, 2021

St. Paul, Minn., May 13, 2021 – Twin Metals Minnesota is pleased with the U.S. District Court’s conclusion that our leases were reinstated in accordance with the law. We also applaud the court’s thorough and thoughtful decision-making in denying the plaintiffs’ motion.

As stated in Judge McFadden’s opinion, “Interior’s review process took several months and followed all mandated procedures, producing a ‘well-reasoned and well-supported’ explanation of the agency’s changed position.”

Twin Metals looks forward to continuing to work with federal and state agencies as the project advances through the multi-year scoping, environmental review and permitting processes.
